Nice lake. Good to spent some peaceful time. We were traveling from Brandon to Texas, and had the lake as a stop point to spend some time, and have dinner. Pleasant, calm area.

We had a neat new experience staying in a yurt. My wife and I spent a night and set up some portable Ham Radio gear to participate in Parks on the Air. Great fun all around! However, I cannot rate 5 stars due to the lack of shower facilities and the terribly unkempt roadway. Some of the overgrowth has reduced the 2-car wide roadway to a single lane in spots. However, the lawn around the Yurt was very nicely kept, and we didn't even pick up a single tick.

We stayed at the State Park at this lake while Hurricane Milton passed through Florida. The park was beautiful and nearly vacant. The views we saw in the Deep Fork loop were spectacular. Really nice showers and bathrooms, very friendly staff, lots of biking and we now can’t wait to go back.
