We had a great time kayaking, we weren't able to get the charcoal we brought to light but that wasn't their fault. I would highly recommend planning a trip if you've never used a kayak before. My son and I had a wonderful time out on the water and the staff was very helpful.

Crowder is small (about 200 acres)Dept of Wildlife lake in Western OK about 10 miles south of Weatherford OK. It's well maintained, managed and monitor by SWOSU . It has a 2 lane boat ramp with paved parking area for 10-15 boat trailers. It is designated by the Wildlife dept as a Trophy Bass lake one of only 4 in the state at this time. It has a 16' - 22" slot limit on all Bass. You can keep 6 Bass daily as long as they are under 16" and only one can be more then 22" . Though not a deep water lake, the is plenty of cover and structure. From Cattails, coon-tail moss, natural dead falls, to sunken brush piles and ceder trees. With the grass and cattails comes the added benefit of the lake have a good reproduction rate. Giving the fry a sanctuary to hide and grow.

Love this lake! We have rented kayaks, swam, had a picnic with our grandchildren, also love their full moon paddle guided kayak tours! The Staff are top notch and the students are super nice and helpful! Gem of a lake!

My friends and I went kayaking with a guided tour led by Paul and had the best of time with the whole group as a whole. Wonderful way to spend time and make new friends in a beautiful way.
